How Does the TopBump Leaderboard Work?

Every category on TopBump has a ranked list of listings. The ordering is deterministic — no black box.

Sorting logic

Listings are sorted by their lifetime total bid amount, highest first. If two listings are tied on amount, the one that reached that total first wins the tie — rewarding early commitment, not just deep pockets on any given day.

Taking the #1 spot specifically

Because #1 is the position everyone's fighting over, there's one extra rule just for it: your total must beat the current leader's total by at least $5. Every other rank just requires out-totaling whoever's currently above you.

Your bid is cumulative — every payment adds to your listing's running total, it doesn't reset.
