Rules

Rank is one number: total money paid, lifetime. Nothing else counts. No votes, no algorithm.

Bids are whole US dollars. The minimum price for a new listing dynamically increases: an empty category or subcategory starts at $1, but each new element added must beat the highest existing listing's cost by at least $5. Maximum bid: $999,999.

The board sorts by total, descending. Equal totals: whoever paid first ranks higher.

Taking #1 costs the current #1's total plus $5. Paying less than that still lists you — at whatever rank your total reaches.

Submitting a URL or @handle you already have listed tops it up. You pay the difference, minimum $1. Nobody else can claim your rank by paying your difference — a competitor has to beat your total on their own.

Products, tools, sites, and profiles. One listing per normalized URL or X handle.

URLs are stripped of query parameters and fragments before they're stored — tracking and affiliate links don't survive submission. Known link shorteners are resolved to their final destination server-side.

Two different paths on the same domain are two different listings. Same goes for app store and GitHub links.

Not allowed: chat/invite links (Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Messenger, Signal), and adult/NSFW content.

Rule-breaking listings get removed without refund. No warning required.

All payments go through Polar as merchant of record. Polar collects and remits applicable tax at checkout — you never see a separate tax step, and topbump.lol doesn't register for tax anywhere.

All payments are final and non-refundable. This includes bids removed for breaking the rules. The only exception is if a category or subcategory you created is not approved by the admin, in which case a refund will be issued.

Your rank appears once the payment is confirmed server-side — not the moment you land back on the site.

6 premium large grid slots and 18 wall tiles, rented by the day, week, or month at fixed prices. No bidding on ad slots — first paid, first served.

A slot goes live only after payment is confirmed, never on redirect back to the site.

Creatives must match the slot's exact pixel dimensions. Images are re-encoded server-side and capped at 500KB.

Slots expire automatically at the end of the paid window and revert to a "your ad here" placeholder. Owners can extend before expiry to keep the slot without a gap.

If a slot is occupied, you can pre-book the next open window — it goes live the moment the current one expires.

Creatives are auto-approved by default and subject to takedown at any time for rule violations, without refund.

Removal for any rule violation is at our discretion, is final, and carries no refund.
